20/1 winner to finish off the week

Without the 20/1 winner System Selection's performance for the last week would have been pretty dire. Even with the winner we still managed to lose 50 PTS. It's a service I joined at the wrong time, typical, but what can you do?

Here are the results since the last post:

Some standout performers this week in 4 Pronged Attack, PJAF and Strikeline. I have been really impressed with PJAF since subscription started, slowly building up profits. On one of the days since the last post we had 4/5 winners all at relatively long odds. Strikeline has started to pay dividends, I only hope over the next few weeks we don't give all those profits back to the bookies.

Talking about bookies there has been much discussion on the SBC forum about Victor Chandler recently. I was locked out of their Internet site a long time ago but they do appear to be doing a bit of housecleaning at the moment. There are reports of BOG being removed and account closures. Although I made a tidy profit from my VC account it was not one of my main accounts. They offer standout prices so what do you do? Take them right. Then, they obviously pick up on the fact you're consistently picking their standout prices and then ban you, winning or not. There are other triggers that set them off as well, such as whether you're backing horses that severely shorten at the same time you place your bet, the amount you stake, frequency, etc. Anyone in profit or who appears to be a little less mug is spotted and action taken. Bookies have made billions over the years with their greedy overrounds, about time we got some of that money back!

Another positive continues to be the trading. I usually trade to 1 PT and take 50% profit, then there is commission to deduct. So, a typical winning trade makes about 0.47 PTS profit. The last 6 days have produced 1.81 PTS profit so that isn't too bad considering I'm still only working in one league. I'm sure anyone following my trades at Centaur is fairly content with performance since I started posting the trades. However, it has taken a while to get into my stride. It was never meant to be serious, but rather a way of getting my mind into a trading rhythm, and it has worked. I haven't posted a losing trade for a few weeks now so all is good.

That'll do me, I still have lots of research to get through and am working on ways of reducing the size of the Betting Spreadsheet I've produced for the SBC.

Happy punting!
