Gonna keep it short today, I'm really under the weather with the flu... it's a yearly thing because of changing temperatures and getting into riding the new book proved more strenuous than I thought.

What an exceptional month! The only slight dissappointment has been Mr Gekko Bets but I'm sure there are some winnings waiting around the corner.

Before I forget I've started trading using a paid for software with Betfair, only on the footy. I'm not sure how I'll include it as part of the results but I'll find a way. So expect a couple of extras: the Bettor Logic bets and also the trading bets.

It was one of those days and I'll certainly remember it when times are tough. I've also reached a financial milestone today so at the weekend shall probably be taking the wife out someplace nice.

Some good results today and even some of my own bets came off too which were all on the Champions League. Surprisingly only Pro Bandit made a loss for the day, but that's what having a portfolio is all about.The actual Champions League Bet service made a small profit for the day, but only because I was a bit more agressive with Barcelona's corner handicap bet.

I'm going to leave it at that for today so I can get into bed early. I've got the flu and am on Amoxiclav to try and get rid of the infection...

Correction...

Be very careful with 5Dimes! If odds are lower than evens they automatically change the way you stake. So if you put $100 in the box at less than evens they will alter your stake so that you want to win $100. Daylight robbery! So instead of two bets of $100 today I actually had two bets of $200, and guess what, they both lost! Maybe I should have known, for odds equal to or greater than evens the value you put in the box is the value you actually stake... why is it we have to learn by losing? They could have won today and that way I would have learnt too....

Quality not quantity

That was much the case today, plenty of bets but the services that provided the least number of bets performed better than those services that sent through what seemed like a hundred bets yesterday.

There you go. A total of 25 bets for Football Investor and Mr Gekko Bets with an actual loss of 0.62PTS. To be fair some of the better teams just didn't turn up today, like QPR and Cardiff. But that's football and teams don't go a whole season winning all their games.

Nice winner from Each Way Value and one selection beaten into 3rd by a nose. I may take a look at the results to win only rather than each way.

At one point last year I was seriously considering dropping Champions League Bet, performance hadn't been great but for some reason I was in a good mood and gave them a couple more chances. It paid off and today was another good set of results with all four selections winning. As I've stated in the past I am definitely more agressive with regards to the recommend bets. Of course, if the selection was for Over 2.5 goals I wouldn't go for Over 3.5 goals, but with corners and bookings I go on the front foot. Corner bets are rarely decided by 1 corner, so if the recommended bet is for Under 11.5 Corners I go for Under 10 Corners, the difference in odds can be 1.8 to 2.2!

Good call from Skeeve leaving the shortlist bets out, would have made a small loss on them.

Very sore throat today, riding that new bike has caused that! lol
