Some good results for the football today with both Newcastle and Kilmarnock winning, only result that let us down was Catania for Football Elite. The Bettor Logic Bets and Trading balanced themselves out for the day but it could of been worse if Athletic Bilbao had scored their third goal any earlier, I didn't see that early goal coming. That's football and  a potential 8 PTS loss was turned into a 2.38 PTS loss. Again, the Bettor Logic Bets continue their upward trend and I'm certainly being more picky with the selections I back, probably why the good run is lasting.

Here are October's results:

A 73 PTS profit for the month, certainly a record! Thanks to all tipsters and long may the upward trend continue. I do see myself having to use the exchanges more and more especially as the bookies don't like me very much, but I don't blame them, they are out to make money out of us... But it certainly wasn't all plain sailing: initial profits were wiped out on the 8th and again on the 15th only for profits to rocket from the 20th onwards. My discipline, mindset and ability to see opportunites and risks have all improved lately, mainly as a result of silly mistakes and learning from them, experience is priceless.

So tomorrow is another day and will present further opportunities.

Until tomorrow

Happy Saturday

I've made no secret of the fact I thoroughly enjoy a Saturday's gambling work, from Friday through to Sunday evening. Even if there are losses I still walk away from a weekend feeling fulfilled, having at least tried. Mondays and Thursdays are the bore days, but they still give me an opportunity to get any bits and pieces out of the way.

Certainly can't grumble with an 8 PTS profit for the day, especially when at half-time for Football Investor and Mr Gekko Bets results looked like they would go against us today! Skeeve didn't have the best of days but to be honest, as he put in his follow-up email, it was an inconsistent day for many of the so called consistent teams. But, as I've said before many of the inconsistencies give rise to value bets. For example, if AFC Wimbledon lose at home as they did today their odds may drift a little for the next game allowing us to capitalise on that. All teams have bad days and if Hartlepool and Yeovil hadn't let in late goals profits would have been higher.

More importantly for the day is that I've managed to wipe out a defecit of 7PTS for the Bettor Logic Bets and am now into profit. The one result that stands out for the day was Arsenal v West Ham. I dutched the correct score for either a 2-0, 1-0 or 0-0 and that result alone brought in just under 3 PTS profit, I seem to have found the niche that I was talking about. However, feet firmly on the ground and head firmly on me shoulders, wouldn't want to throw everything away!

I only traded on one of my own selections today and that was for the Valencia game. Valencia went down early on and my gut feeling told me to leave the game, but I wanted to look a little closer. The stats showed there was only a slight chance that Valencia would actually win the game. I took no risks Laying Valencia at odds of around 2.0 and backing the 2-1 correct score as a saver bet in case they got back into the game. Well, they did get back into the game but the 2-1 eluded them resulting in a nice 1.5 PTS profit.

And two out of three selections for Conference North Bets winning too, very nice to see. Still a way to go though until we break even...

Another account closure today, good job I've got plenty of pseudo helpers. After yesterday's bookie get off my chest talk I still feel that for the bookies to get some respect they too must show some, life is about balance and bookies aren't excluded. I know a lot of them have logos on their sites from the relevant gambling institutions like IBAS, Gamcare, GREaT and Gamble Aware but they're usually at the bottom of the sites where you wouldn't normally look. If they take, say £500, off you they should send an email asking you whether you are addicted to gambling and have made these types of losses with other companies also so that they can refer you to somewhere that can help. My gambling today could be an addiction, I might know that, but I'm winning, at least.

I will try to remember to include the monthly graph(s) tomorrow.

Until tomorrow, time for a curry!

Bad bookies

There are plenty of them, willing to take your money when you're losing but when you start winning put on the brakes so you can only travel at £5 a bet. I thought Interwetten were one of the better bookies, not only have they restricted me to about £5 a bet, laughable, but to withdraw my money I have to supply a photo ID, utility bill and bank account statement, wtf for I ask?.... If I had remortgaged my house, not had enough money to put food on my children's plates and the like would the bookies ever have worried? God damn no. My message to anyone serious about gambling is don't go placing any bets, make sure you have an edge, value, so you win in the long-run! Boylesports, Sportingbet, Betfred, Interwetten and the rest aren't our friends, they're out to win as much of your money as they can get their hands on, I have never heard of a bookie being worried about your losses, keep them onside for as long as possible but take them to the cleaners, they don't have good values so treat them like they need to be treated.

You can use the exchanges instead of unfair bookies, like I do with my trading. Each Way Value came close to breaking even for the day with a 3rd and a 4th of the four selections. My get out of jail card was my trading though with the Bayern Munich game unfolding just as I had predicted, and I got my greening up just as is should be, the same profit no matter what the outcome.

Lots of bets placed this evening, many of them on outsiders so I'm anxious to see how the weekend will fair, hopefully in my favour so that'll mean a few more account closures.lol

Until tomorrow
