When you gamble and trade you can only really rely on yourself. Gambling using tipsters is very easy, you just back a selection when you receive the tipster's advice. Of course you need to make sure that you've got the correct infrastructure in place. Trading, you're totally on your own, you're receiving all this information from the market and you need to make decisions. I do in-play trading therefore my research is carried out before the event and then I make decisions as the game progresses. The decisions need to be made with a clear mind. Rule number 1: don't panic when an event doesn't go your way and look to minimise your risk not increase it.

For those of you that follow Pro Bandit I'll tell you why I didn't make any more profit for the day. I'll make it short but effectively what happened was that the Misses couldn't get the bet on because I'd used up the bookie balance before going out. So when the Deposit screen popped up when she tried to place the bet it didn't click that she hadn't placed the bet. By the time I got in and realised what had happened odds were down to 3.0, well below the 4.33 recommended... I don't think there's anything more frustrating than this, especially when you've been on a long losing run. But it's gone and one can only attempt to learn from such experiences. It was my fault and that's that.

Still, Pro Bandit had another winner in the 17:30 which stopped my crying... Geert Van Elsen had a nice winner and was unlucky with the other selection drawing which Voided the bet. The Trading got off to a bad start but I managed to turn it around for a small win, we're dead on -30PTS now.

Skeeve requested information on Champions League Bet so here are the season's results so far, based on my bets:

Deducting subscription costs we're at around 8 PTS profit for this season. I joined last season around March time and it was going on a bad run but I stuck it out and I haven't looked back since. Some markets are quick to move and others are only available with one or two bookies but the majority of selections are easy to back.
