Always looking forward to tomorrow

I really do enjoy betting, especially after a losing day that ended with a winner. A winner right at the end of the day is that kick you need to take you into tomorrow in the right frame of mind. When the last bet of the day is a loser I just get everything off my chest on here and go and have a good night's sleep. The most important factor is to remain positive, or at least optimistic.

It wasn't the best day but certainly wasn't an anti-climax like yesterday. No last minute goals preventing Bochum from winning at FSV Frankfurt today my friend!! I was on the phone making sure all players were told to stand on the goalline!!! lol

Pro Bandit's NQ won, but I don't follow these bets anymore, fortunately though I didn't place the Betfair place bet saving myself a bit of money as it finished fourth.

I'm not the best mathematician in the world. Since I started betting I have always wanted to improve my maths, especially with regards to probabilities. I've been looking over a site I found today called Probability Theory, the link is in the top left corner of the blog. There are some good articles on the site and covers both basic and complex probability calculations all relevant to betting and trading. If you're like me with your maths then it's definitely worth a look.

Until tomorrow

  1. Hi Kodagira,

I'm trying to put together a small portfolio of tipping services, already signed up for FE, FI and Ontheche. Which non horse racing tipster(s) would you recommend adding?

Thanks and good luck with the blog and with betting!

  2. Hi Anonymous,

There are lots of good tipsters out there, but make sure you do your research to make sure that what you go for is right for "you". By that I mean when the tips are sent out are you ready in front of a PC to get the bets on quickly, do you have sufficient capital to cover subscription costs and still make a tidy profit for the whole season, etc. Do you prefer shorter odds with less long losing runs?

    I hope that helps.

  3. Thanks for your reply.

Unfortunatly, due to having a fulltime job and a busy social life, needing to be in front of my PC whenever the tips come would rule out pretty much any tipster. I have noticed a severe drop in odds at the FE tips after they are released, though after this nightmare run the drop seems smaller, the other services don't seem big enough to have a real impact on the odds, but I might be wrong about that.

I prefer a slow and steady growth, so shorter odds suits me better. Capital isn't a problem for me.

  4. Hi Anonymous,

If you're looking for shorter odds have a look at Signature Racing Tips on the Bet Advisor website. I'm not saying follow the service but analyse the results/bets and see if it's for you. Shorter odds and higher strike rate might fit the bill.

    Good luck
