Slowly but surely

Anyone looking to make profits long-term must realise that profits are made steadily over time. There is no use thinking that you'll going to make a return on every bet or group of bets, say at a weekend. There will be a weekend or weekends when you make losses and they'll be a weekend or weekends when you take the bookies to the cleaner. Don't think one weekend think 52 weekends!

Here are today's results:

I liked the Arsenal selection winning for Mr Gekko Bets, what I like is that within the emails Mr Gekko does point out that losing runs are part of the game, here is an extract:

"Let's hope things can keep progressing in the right direction. Don't forget that losing runs are part of the game though, not that we like to speak of them!"

Transparency is key to any service and you can usually tell when a scam email comes through as they only focus on the "winners" forgetting to tell you about any losing runs, betting banks and the key ingredients to any long-term success.

There wasn't any trading today as I was out but I'm annoyed I didn't lay Sampdoria when they went 1-0 up at Inter... Inter are impeccable at home, haven't lost in the league at the San Siro for more than two years I believe. Bettor Logic Bets continues in the right direction, if Sampdoria hadn't of scored I would have wiped out all losses, but slow progress is much better than greedy losses.

And that's how I've been lately: eating away at any losses and the Trading now finds itself 17 PTS up from being around 5 PTS down at one point, it's so satisfying. Sometimes I set myself goals and I forget that I've got to follow a path that's a little longer than the greedy path, but it's a lot smoother and one you can rely on, no big potholes in it waiting to gobble you up. I only hope I continue on this path, doing a mental reset every day to make sure I'm still on the right path.

On another note our Sunday League team find themselves top of the division by one point. We were losing 2-0 at half-time only to come back and win 3-2, I provided the cross for the one of the goals but getting on the score sheet eluded me today. A good day all-round!

Until tomorrow
