I'm glad to say I didn't look at any of the horse racing results throughout the day. I much prefer it this way, don't feel any of the ups and downs of results I have no control over. But I did watch the football bets; Football Elite, Geert Van Elsen and Football Investor all doing poorly. The game between MK Dons and Walsall epitomised the football today; we had Walsall to win and MK Dons to win on the Asian handicap -1, of course, it finished 1-1 after Walsall scored the first goal, typical.
We had the cleaner in today and I had to vacate the study for about 15 minutes. And guess what happened? Northern Monkey Punter sent through a 10/1 selection that went on to win, but I only managed 7/1. This again shows the flaws in my discipline, I knew that the email would be arriving so why didn't I ask the cleaner to wait? I just don't understand my thinking behind some of the wacky decisions I make at times. Those 15 minutes cost about £200. Again, I think it comes down to my childhood and being brainwashed into leaving things. Why should I leave things? This is a job not school homework, really got to sort my head out.
Still, a small profit for the day so looking forward to a better Saturday.

Today wasn't the first time this has happened. If I remember rightly Mr Gekko Bets and Football Investor have been on opposing teams in the same game twice already this season and you know what happened don't you? Both draws! lol
ReplyDeleteAlthough still a profitable day we gamblers need to make hay when we can. The odds movement on Northern Monkey Punters was a big kick in the teeth today; I haven't been late on NMPs tips for months and odds usually hold up. Today, we get a winner after a baron spell, the odds shortened very quickly and I was late backing the selection, sods law at it's best!
