Rio de Janeiro

What a revelation Bet365 has been; not only do they send me weekly bonuses of £10 but they also refund losing bets when certain conditions are met. On top of that all new accounts receive £200 in free bets and restrictions are only likely to occur once you've won your fair share of cash. They have made in-play betting easy and continue to innovate, a sign of a good business. They put bookmakers like Betfred, Boylesports, Skybet and Stan James to shame.

A better day betting wise, and there were no cleaners about to stop me getting the best odds! lol

It appears March is turning out to be like another December, big returns after a poor previous month. The strange thing though is I've actually made a Points loss this month; that has been brought about mainly by Strikeline's poor performance over the past few weeks. I'm not worried too much to be honest, it's a service that works to high odds and a low strike rate, I'm sure results will improve over the next few weeks.

On to today...

No luck for 4 Pronged Attack with the first selection Xin Xu Lin finishing in 5th and Pachattack finishing in 3rd. I saw that Xin Xu Lin is a Brazilian horse, I remember seeing the Jockey Club from the top of the mountain in Rio de Janeiro where the Christ the Redeemer statue sits.

What a view hey? Jockey club at the bottom of the photo (obviously). Gambling is actually banned in Brazil, there's just too much corruption to make these things work. Even the national lottery has been involved with balls weighing more than others so they are more likely to come out of the machine.

I hope all you football fans know which stadium this is. I'll reveal the name at the end of the blog if you've forgot. I found this photo on the Internet, it was taken from the same mountain as the other photo. I used to live in Brazil, marvellous people and beautiful country. Brazil will never get the same status as countries like France, UK, USA (i.e. so called 1st world countries or MEDCs (More Economically Developed Countries)), as our media is biased towards other 1st world countries. You'll hear good things about the USA and usually bad things about Brazil, Venezueala, S. Africa, etc., in reality there is not much difference between the countries apart from their wealth... sorry about that rant, I'm sure you're on here to read about my day's gambling! As you can tell, I'm a gambler with strong opinions! lol

Today's standout performer was Form Bet who after a week's rest has come back with a vengeance, 13 PTS profit with Rey Nacarado at 6.5 and Wilfred Pickles at 5.0 producing the majority of the profits. Pro Bandit returning to real form with another 2.5 PTS profit. I don't follow the NQs anymore, today's only NQ finished second.

The football bets did well with Skeeve producing another 4.5 PTS profit. Kidderminster won as did the double on Farnborough and York! Yeovil did the business meaning some nice winnings at 4.5 for both Football Investor and Mr Gekko Bets. Unfortunately Bournemouth let their winning position slip in the 82nd minute against Charlton resulting in only a 0.5 PT gain for Mr Gekko Bets on the day.

And, to round off a good day the Accidental Bet came off. I'd accidentally staked an extra 33% on Yeovil to win and they duly went on and thrashed Leyton Orient 5-1. Kind of makes up, a little, for my missed winnings yesterday with Northern Monkey Punter.

I'll leave it at that, don't forget that the clocks go forward.

Until tomorrow,

The stadium is of course the Maracana. It held a recorded 199,854 (non-recorded spectators had jumped over the turnstiles) spectators in the 1950 World Cup Final when Brazil were leading 1-0 against Uruguay only to get beat by 2-1. Brazil are the only big footballing nation never to have won the World Cup on home soil, hopefully that'll change in 2014 and I'll be there to join in the partying!

  3. lol, I knew someone would say Spain. By big footballing nation I mean nations that have been there or there abouts over the last 50 years. So, Italy, Germany, Brazil, Argentina, England to a certain extent. Spain are a recent addition to be fair, but would be nice to see them play on home soil like France did.
