Preparation

I haven't been on the blog for a couple of days, instead I've been beavering away at my spreadsheets adding a few very necessary areas. For some of the services I follow I should be using compound staking, so now I have the option of either using level or compound staking. The compound staking can be calculated either daily or as a tipster reaches a certain profit level. So, for example, once Form Bet reaches 25 PTS profit staking will be increased by 7.5%, then when it reaches the next level staking will be increased by a further 7.5% and so on. For trading I will be using daily compounding, for other services there will be a mixture of both level and level compound staking. How have I decided what type of staking to use for each service? Strike rate, experience, volatility, current staking amounts and long term profitability. I have also produced a sheet that I can print out that shows the current staking amounts, very useful for the Misses when she helps out. It's all automatic and that's why it takes so long to develop, but I'm sure it'll save me a lot of time in the long-run and will also mean I've completed one of my aims as set out in my Business Sheet

Here are results up til Sunday:

Unsurprisingly Sunday only produced losses, Form Bet was completely wiped out from what I remember. But, that was such a long time ago... yesterday and today have been pretty good days and have easily covered any subscription fees I've had to fork out for over the last week.

Before I forget I've used another calculation to show the All-time figure in the above table. The previous figure didn't include any bonuses or winnings that I had made before I started recording everything in spreadsheets.

There were two selections from Strikeline today, both at the maximum 5 PTS. It was very nice to see Fair Value come in at 9.0 in the 14:10 so early in the day. The other selection lost but don't think I was complaining! lol Northern Monkey Punter had no luck today but Sunday's selection West Coast Dream did the business producing a much needed 3.2 PTS profit at 9.0.

Not much happening on the football. The Bettor Logic Bets-Bets haven't had the best few days but losing runs will always happen working to odds around the 2.0 mark. Football Investor has given some money back to the bookies with Notts County, Newport, Oldham and Luton losing us money. Only short odds York and Crawley have given us our pocket money.

It's good to see we've passed the 400 PTS profit mark once again for the Active Tipsters! Long may the upward trend continue.

Until tomorrow

  2. Hi Max, I like the angle you're betting from, I myself have considered the opposite types of bets you're doing simply because of the greater odds.

Good luck, have added your blog to my list
