I would have taken a 4 PTS profit for the Trading before the weekend started, I'm more than happy to make steady and consistent winnings. I made a small loss of 0.7 PT for the night but it was looking like a 4 PTS loss early on into the Barcelona and Leicester games. By having a mindset of capital preservation instead of being greedy and attempting to get blood out of stone a big loss has turned into a small one. Just remember that there is a fine line between chasing losses and turning something around: chasing losses means you can get deeper and deeper and if the results go against you you stand to lose a lot of money; turning something around is effectively where whatever the outcome you stand to lose less, usually a lot less, than was initially going to happen.

I had a minor correction for Saturday; I'd put the Nancy game for Football Investor as a Sunday and not a Saturday. Skeeve had a nice weekend but Football Investor continues its poor run of form. There has been an email from Football Investor showing how November can be one of the poorer months so that could potentially mean a better December. I use the word "potentially" with caution!

And we had another 3 PTS with PCB with the selection finishing in the top 5. I was rather fortunate here as William Hill were only paying out each way on the first 4, how ridiculous is that? I got on with another bookie that was paying each way for the first 5 places, but I hadn't checked. This is one of those moments you need to hold onto when things aren't going your way.

Last day of the month tomorrow so should be a few extra bits and pieces!

Until then
