Splendid

That just about sums up today's results. It was one of those days that started slowly only to pick up speed, bit like an oil tanker... (don't ask me why I thought of that. lol)

I am worried about Equine Investments, as I've let you all know on several occasions. The reason being is that even the short-priced picks aren't performing. What can I do? Not much really. I'll stick it out til the end of the season and make a decision then, but it's frustrating to say the least. I feel for the new subscribers, anyway, that's betting.

As per dictionary.com:

"a pledge of a forfeit risked on some uncertain outcome; wager"

Word Origin & History

bet
"1590s, in the argot of petty criminals; probably aphetic of abet, or from obsolete beet  "to make good," from O.E. bætan  "make better, arouse, stimulate," from P.Gmc. *baitjanan . The original notion is perhaps "to improve" a contest by wagering on it, or it is from the "bait" sense in abet . Used since 1852 in various Amer.Eng. slang assertions (cf. you bet  "be assured," 1857). Related: Betting ."

Make of that what you will.

Results for Equine Investments since the beginning of the new season (01/05):

Pro Bandit? WOW, is all I can say. What a few weeks from their service contributing with just over 50% of profits for the last 30 days. And Champions League Bet got two winners tonight. I'm a bit more daring with their bets, looking for the under 9 corners instead of the under 10.5 as they recommend. It's just personal choice really, but last season the extra daringness paid dividends. As it stands I've already paid the seasons subscription! Absolutely marvellous.

Nice to see the English teams doing well in the Champions League tonight. I would really like to see Arsenal progress, but still feel they are lacking a Viera type central midfielder who'll win those 50-50 headers and take some weight off Fabregas' shoulders.

Until tomorrow
